myMISSION

Through myMISSION, young women (18-35ish) engage in Bible study, the building of community, and various missions projects. This missions group functions like a cross between a small groups Bible Study, a prayer group, and a missions organization. Anyone can be a part of myMISSION. It’s for the college student, the young professional, the young mom, and the girl next door.

LEADER TRAINING

GET INVOLVED

How to Start a myMISSION Group:

  • Begin with prayer: Make prayer a part of each step in starting and leading a myMISSION group.
  • Download small group leader guide: This resource gives you clear direction for how to lead your group.
  • Contact KentuckyWMU: Contact the KentuckyWMU Students Missions Strategist to learn more about updates, resources, and leadership training for myMISSION leaders and volunteers. Attend leadership development events hosted by KentuckyWMU.
  • Meet With Pastor & Discipleship Minister: Student leaders should meet with the pastor and discipleship minister to discuss the purpose, structure, and goals of the myMISSION group, so everyone is on the same page.
  • Register WMU group: Select the link below to register your new WMU group with the state office.
  • Identify leaders: Identify a group leader and others willing to lead, consider enlisting young women to help as group leaders. Provide leadership development through Kentucky WMU's leadership training events.
