We want to help missions leaders "lead well" in their calling. Bringing both Associational WMU and local church WMU teams together provides a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, provide enrichment experiences, and distribute leadership resources for all missions discipleship areas.
LeadWell resources leaders who have accepted the invitation to lead in missions in their church or on the associational level. Participating in LeadWell helps to strengthen your leadership skills and expand one's view of WMU in a broader scope. This training program provides an annual training event, online workshops for continuous learning, and a blog for helpful tips for both the Associational and local church level.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
ON THE GO
You will have training at your finger tips with Lead Well On-the-Go page. You will also receive periodic emails with great tips and helpful information.
In Person
Each year, we will provide multiple in-person event locations full of workshops and resources to help you lead well in your area of leadership. These events will be identical.
Day 1 - Discover- WMU Basics for New Leaders (the same programming every year)
Day 2 - Leadership Development (Leadwell) (this programming changes yearly)
WITH OTHERS
Through our Facebook Group, you will have an online community to learn from other leaders, ask questions, and gain ideas from leaders all over the Commonwealth.

*Discover: A Special Friday Evening Session
This evening session is designed for brand new WMU leaders or those interested in learning about WMU. You will learn the basics about WMU and walk away with a fresh scope of what all WMU has to offer.
During the 7PM workshop slot, participants will break out into age-level focus groups. They will be introduced to Curriculum, Scope of Missions Learning, and much more.
Friday's Discover experience is also perfect for those hoping to relaunch WMU in their church.
